Plants love the River Room in the Dam House. One favorite is the night-blooming cereus, which flowers 3 or 4 times each summer. Typically, the huge white flowers open about 8:30pm and fill the house with a very strong, sweet, tropical fragrance. By morning the scent is gone and the flowers are limp. |
